She listened as he talked and shook her head sympathetically. "Then you must be like me no?" She questioned leaning an elbow on the table and resting her chin in her palm as she looked at him. "Humans easily forget that everything must come to an end." She flew from her seat up into the tree a moment before returning with a leaf in her hand. She held it out and examined it. "Just like a leaf, it starts out as a little seed that with time will grow into a tree and form leaves. And it will stand for hundreds, even thousand of years. People do not have the love for nature anymore as they once have because the world is changing. And people are forced to change with it."
She gently caressed the green leaf with a dark look. "And your right. The world is not kind if it forces you to stand by and watch the ones you love be taken away from you before their time, or watch as they grow old, wither and die while you live on forever as youthful as ever." She murmured.
"But even so I have learned that despite age, experience always counts up. There are people in this world who are still kind and others are oblivious or do not care because they are too preoccupied with things of this world." She tapped the cellphone on the table for emphasis. "You may say you are old, and that you have no friend, then you are wrong. Because despite their ways of absence you still have them in memory don't you?" She questioned.
"I say life is short, like the seasons of fall, people are leaves that live practically all year round through summer and spring, but when it's time they die and everyone moves on. Even I have known the unkindness of this world. But it does not mean that all of its people are cruel.you can still thrive." She commented twirling the leaf between two fingers by its stem. "we are survivors, you and i. and theres nothing wrong with that. It means we are stronger then others." She gave a long sigh before glancing up at him and gave a small humorless smile. "I'm sorry I'm like rambling here aren't I?" She gave a halfhearted chuckle and dropped the leaf on the table with a dark brooding look on her face.
